The Public Service Commission (PSC) has advertised 80 vacancies in key directorates under Internal Security and Correctional Services, in a move aimed at improving capacity in peace building, government reception services, and probation services.

The vacancies target professional and leadership positions within the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, as well as the State Department for Correctional Services.

In the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, led by Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo, the openings are in the Peace building and Conflict Management Directorate and Government Reception Services. The advertised positions include Secretary, Director, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director roles, alongside Senior Principal Lecturer positions.

In the State Department for Correctional Services, led by Principal Secretary Dr. Salome Beacco, the vacancies are concentrated within the Probation Department. The openings include Secretary, Deputy Director, and Assistant Director positions. The largest share of the recruitment falls under the Deputy Director of Probation role, reflecting ongoing government efforts to reorient rehabilitation, offender management, and community-based correctional services.

The recruitment drive comes as the Ministry continues to implement broader reforms in the Security and Public Administration sector aimed at addressing decades long of staffing shortages in public institutions.

Qualified candidates can apply through the PSC’s official recruitment platform.
